Our toughest, most customizable bench is now even more customizable, including the option to make it decline and mix different colors on the same bench. Select “fixed post” and the AB-5200 2.0 works as a flat-incline bench with 10 different back pad angles and four seat pad angles. Or select “adjustable post” and easily transform the AB-5200 2.0 into a flat-incline-decline bench, with three additional decline angles. Further personalize the bench by selecting a frame color, with the ability to choose a different accent color on the guide rails. The fixed/adjustable post is finished with a durable metallic black powder coat, with a black chrome inner post on the adjustable version. The AB-5200 2.0 includes comfortable, tapered seats and a standard-width or wide bench pad in the new, extra grippy CleanGrip™ material . This bench meets IPF height requirements to help competitive lifters train optimally and other lifters get great leg drive.

The commercial-grade AB-5200 2.0 is incredibly durable, made with 11-gauge steel and heavy-duty bolts, while being an incredible value for lifters who want one of the best adjustable benches for their home gym. It weighs 115lbs and boasts a weight capacity of 1,000lbs. Yet it’s easy to move around, thanks to a horizontal, knurled, stainless-steel front handle. And you can store it vertically on its improved, metal, plastic-lined stand, only taking up 3.1SQFT of space in your gym. A closed ladder design for both the seat and back pad keeps the ladder in place when adjusting the bench and when storing it vertically. Grooved, rubber back feet help keep the bench in place, while protecting the floor. The bench is topped off with more high-end details, such as a laser-cut REP logo on the front and back ladders, black hardware, and a laser-cut mountain logo on the front ladder. The AB-5200 2.0 was designed in Denver, CO, and is protected by one or more issued and/or pending patents.

FID BENCH

The AB-5200 2.0 now has a decline option (-4, -6, and -8 degrees) when you choose the adjustable post, which features a metallic black powder coat outer post and black chrome inner post.
VERTICAL STORAGE

Store the bench vertically – and take up only 3.1SQFT of space -- on its improved, metal stand with a protective, plastic liner.
MANEUVERABLE

A horizontal, knurled, stainless-steel handle makes the bench easy to move around your gym.

Yes, the AB-5200 2.0 was designed for vertical storage on the floor. Just prop it up on its improved storage stand to save space. The rear stand is metal with a plastic lining to ensure the bench and the floor are protected.

Whether you choose the standard or wide pad, this bench falls within International Powerlifting Federation height and length requirements. However, if you pick the wide pad, that does not adhere to IPF width.
According to the IPF Rule Book a bench must fall within the following specifications:

Length: Minimum of 1.22m (~48”)
Width of pad: Between 29-32cm (~11.4-12.6”)
Height (including pad): Between 42-45cm (~16.5-17.7”)

The AB-5200 2.0 is not compatible with the Spotter Platform or the Leg Roller Attachment. The decline angle on this bench isn't aggressive enough to require a Leg Roller to hold you in position. If you want steeper decline options for additional exercises and ab work, check out the BlackWing™.

Fixed: A fixed post will allow you to have a flat/incline adjustable bench. This is ideal for a busy gym or for less-experienced lifters. Fewer moving parts reduces the learning curve on how to use the bench. Simply lift the seat and back pad to the desired angle.
Adjustable: The adjustable post allows you to drop the angle of the back pad to add decline options. This puts the focus on different muscle groups and turns your bench into an FID (flat/incline/decline) adjustable bench. Just loosen the pop-pin on the post, pull it to adjust the angle, and twist to tighten it. It’s as easy as adjusting a bike seat. For safety and stability, make sure the pop-pin is fully engaged.

The AB-5200 2.0 has two pad options: standard or wide. They both feature our new CleanGrip™ pad.

A standard pad falls within all IPF specifications, including width. Choose this if you want a competition-compatible bench pad. In addition, smaller lifters may find a wide pad limits their full range of motion when benching, so they might benefit from a standard pad.
A wide pad is ideal for lifters with broader shoulders and people who want more shoulder support or have shoulder restrictions. A wide pad can also simulate a floor press, without having to go on the floor.

Either! The AB-5200 2.0 with a fixed post is best for a commercial setting, because it’s easier to use and has a more common ladder system. For home use, we recommend either the fixed or adjustable post, depending on your needs. If you choose the adjustable post for your home gym, you have the time and practice to learn how to properly use it.

The AB-5200 2.0 should arrive in four boxes: one box for the frame in the color you chose; one box for the guide rails in the accent color of your choice; one box for the post (fixed or adjustable); and another box for the bench pad (standard or wide).

The adjustable post comes in metallic black on the outside and black chrome finish on the inside, so it slides smoothly. It is not available in other colors at this time.

The new REP CleanGrip™ pads feature several improvements over our existing standard vinyl pads. The pad is now grippier than standard vinyl. It is comfortable yet firm and extra durable, with reinforced edges so the material stays taut. Read all about CleanGrip™ material here.

A mild dish detergent and water are the best cleaning agents for poly-vinyl pads. Use a sponge or clean cloth and soapy water to wipe to remove dirt and sweat from the vinyl. The CleanGrip™ material is grippy enough to shred a paper towel, so use cloth instead.

Great Bench
Built like a tank. Best piece of equipment I’ve ever owned. Only thing I would change would be replace the bolts that attach the pad with Philips head instead of needing a hex key. Otherwise, can’t go wrong with this.

LOVE IT!
I’m super impressed with our new bench from Rep. We were deciding between the 5200 and the 4100 but glad we went with the one with the decline feature. The quality is great, sturdy, looks really nice, quite big and wide as it is without the wide pad upgrade, super easy to put together. Love the matte black, and the bench pad material is really nice too. I’m really impressed with the shipping as well - it arrived faster than I expected, duties included in the shipping, no additional shipping charges after ordering (in comparison with another not so great company I’ve ordered through). Well worth the cost for going with the 5200! Overall, I’m super happy and can’t wait to order our rack and hopefully the Adonis and Arcadia as well when/if a bigger model drops in the next coming months! :)

Glad I Waited
Been looking for the perfect bench for well over a year. Some came close but they were always lacking something or were too heavy. Then the AB5200 v 2 came out. Finally, a bench that checked all my boxes. Right height, right pad spacing, right adjustability, and right weight. I was a bit concerned that my wife would be bothered by the weight but she's fine with it. This will definitely be forever bench.

Fantastic. Built like a tank. Made me a REP fan.
I've been using this for a few weeks now and it's a MASSIVE improvement over my previous bench. This thing is a tank. Super solid. (In fact, it's arguably overkill for my needs.)
Premium finish and feel. Pad feels great. Should've gotten it sooner. Last bench I'll ever need.
This is my first piece of REP gear and I'm sold. Will be looking at REP for anything else I need from now on.
